New Home

Welcome to our new home. We moved the first of the year up north. Population: 1,100 people. One tiny gas station that also serves as the town grocery and quick stop gossip store. One Honeyville city building, post office, elementary school and church. There is a small ski-doo business from someones home and the rest is farming. Oh, the popular gathering place is the Hot Springs. Many of the locals go warm up there at night, put their pj's on, then go home to bed.

Within 3 days of moving in we had about 8 neighbors bring us some kind of treat, introduce themselves and offer the use of their farming equipment and labor. Since moving in, and having so many snow storms, we have not had to plow our drive one time. As soon as the snow stops someone (different people each time) comes to clear our drive. I am amazed and grateful for the kindness of the people. This is my kind of place. It is so peaceful.

The kids play area. Since taking the picture I fixed the swing. I am so happy we have a large sandbox. The boys love playing back there.

The shed/workshop. It was a disaster waiting to happen. Gordon has spent the last couple weeks straightening and supporting the shed. I am not a builder, but even I could see the structural errors they made! We are going to redo the siding and paint it, then it will look beautiful. I am so glad that Gordon and Jon have a wood working workshop now. When the project is complete we will be putting up a greenhouse. I am so excited!! Let Gordon's creativity flow!

Yes,that is a purple and pink bathroom with butterflies behind me. That is the downstairs bathroom. Too girly for me...it makes me tense.
