The Last Exam

I can breath a sigh of relief. I finished my last exam of my undergraduate degree this afternoon and I finished strong! Yahoo! Actually I will be completely relieved once that diploma is in my hands. I still have nightmares that the school is going to call the day before graduation and tell me I have "one more class" to take. It has happened twice so far...even after working with an advisor every semester! What am I talking about..think positive, think positive.

I want to thank everyone for their support through these years of schooling. Especially my loving husband who has supported me through these EXTREMELY STRESSFUL last two years which have been a learning experience, not just for myself but for the school of business and Weber State University. Overall school has been a great experience and I am grateful (and fortunate) to have this business degree.

Sisters and a 5K Run

This past Saturday Rachel and Britney came down and ran a 5k race with me. It was a beautiful morning and a beautiful run. We did not place, but we finished and we had a good time. Britney and Rachel sure are persistant and enduring runners. I had to work to keep up with them!

After the race we had a big breakfast at our home. Then Britney and I went looking at some shops while Gordon studied and Rachel returned back to Cache Valley for stake conference with Morgan.

We loved having family visit for the weekend.

Grandma Kim visits and the Tree House

Grandma Kim came to visit us a few days before leaving for Italy with her dad (Great Grandpa)and brother (Uncle Gus and Aunt RoseAnne). It was so nice to have Grandma with us for the week. Alexander just loved having so much attention. One of the fun things we did while she was here was go to the Tree House Museum. It is a hands on learning place with a giant tree in the middle of the building. They have story and song time on Mondays and Wednesdays. Alexander enjoys the toddler time and playing with the other kids. I am glad that we have a place like this here in Ogden. We go every week and still love it.

Great Grandpa Johnson holding Alexander the day before leaving on the trip. I just recieved an email from mom today and she said that it is absolutely beautiful in Italy and thinks that the Garden of Eden must have been there! We are glad that they are having a fun time. We look forward to our trip there next year.

What a FUN FUN KID!

Alexander is such a good natured little boy. He is such a delight to have in our family. He is very social and very vocal. Although he only has his two bottom teeth, he pretty much can eat anything if it is in small pieces. He absolutely loves steamed broccoli! Hopefully he will continue to be a good eater. He is quick to figure things out...by the time I have pulled my camera out to take a picture, he is already grinning as big as possible.

Sunday Walks

We love to go on walks on Sunday. It is so enjoyable to be out in nature with nothing to worry about, holding hands and being with my loves, Gordon and Alexander. It is so rejuvinating.

Emma's baptism

Emma turned 8 and made the choice to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She sang a BEAUTIFUL song at the baptism that had me in tears. You could definitely feel the spirit present in the room. Her voice is a voice of an angel. The picture below is Emma in her new dress holding Alexander.

A Wedding and Cousins!

Julie and Curt were married on March 29th in the Logan Temple. It was a beautiful day and a fun time with all the family together. We were so excited to see Jeff, Emily and the boys. It had been a couple of years since we have visited and it was the first time the cousins met Alexander. You can definitely tell they are related. What handsome boys!

Ethan holding Alexander. Ethan took such good care of Alexander during the activities of the week. What a great big cousin and brother he is!

Christopher (9 months )and Alexander (7 months). They sure enjoyed tackling and talking to each other in "baby talk."

Crawling

Alexander is 8 months tomorrow. He started crawling 2 months ago and is standing along the couch with one hand now. I don't think that it will be too long before he starts walking. As you can tell from the picture, he has figured out how to open drawers and pull things out. One of his favorite things to do is pull all the DVDs from under the t.v. He also loves his baby music video.

In the first part of March, Grandpa Jarvis came to visit us for a short while before he had to attend a meeting in Colorado. It was for a short time, but had fun together. We love Grandpa and appreciate him making the efforts to see us!
