Well I have to be an excited mother and post about what words Alexander can say. Obviously his first word was "dada", then "mama," and following those words came the word "more"...pronounced more like "mowaa." Can you guess what his next word would be? JESUS! We have a picture of Christ hanging at the bottom of the stairway and often times when we go past I say "Jesus, Jesus, he loves you." Well on Saturday we walked past and he pointed smiling and said "Jesus" just as clearly as can be! He did it again for Gordon this morning. Anyhow, exciting, exciting.

Birthday Boy turns 1!!
Well this one cool kid turned 1 on Friday the 22nd. I can not believe how quickly time has gone by. I was in the grocery store Thursday picking up items for his party when it dawned on me that Alexander is not a baby anymore. I did the mother of all mother things...I got emotional right there in the store. As you can probably tell from this blog spot, I love this guy so much. He just brightens up my life.
Anyways, here are some pictures from his actual birth "day." We met Gordon for lunch at a darling Italian restaurant, since spaghetti is Alexander's favorite, and then we went to the park with his friend David. It was a nice day. Saturday is when we had a bubble party with cupcakes at the park for him. He had so much fun.
Blowing out his candle.
These are pictures of some of Alexander's buddies and family members that came to his birthday party. Thanks to everyone who came and for the fun gifts. Alexander had so much fun and spent so much energy playing that he fell right to sleep on the car ride home!

Saying "See you Later"
Well, all things must come to an end, even though we don't want them to. Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Ben and Aunt Britney for coming and spending time with us. We will cherish this family vacation always. We love you all so much and look forward to our next visits. Love, Gordon, Alana and Alexander

Early Birthday Celebration
We had an early birthday party for Alexander while my family was still with us on Friday. Great Grandparent Jarvis from Missouri, along with a bunch of other cousins, aunts, and uncles from the Jarvis side, were able to be with us to celebrate. Thanks to sweet Aunt Jodie who always hosts such nice family get togethers at her lovely home and back yard.
First bite of birthday cake.
Birthday toys/gifts: what a spoiled little guy! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Ben for the great gifts.

Yellowstone
The camp set-up. It was so much fun camping with the family for the week. The evenings were cool and we could hear the wolfs howling at night. It was awsome!
Alexander had so much fun playing in the dirt. Can you tell? He also ate tons of dirt and rocks which have been showing up in his diaper for the last three days. Poor guy- this is the first time he has had a bad diaper rash! He is doing better though. I'm glad he got to play, get dirty and be a baby boy.
Uncle Ben and Alexander playing cars in the dirt. They sure had fun!
Waiting for Old Faithful to erupt.

The geyser called Morning Glory - so pretty but hot!
One of the many beautiful waterfalls in Yellowstone along with a picture of a herd of Buffalo and a lovely river.

Congrats Johnny and Lindsay
Johnny and Lindsay were married on August 1st. We arrived a little late to get any good pictures of the bride and groom at the reception, but here are a couple cute pictures taken that evening. One is of Aunt Britney holding Alexander and then next is obviously Gordon with Alexander. Congratulations to Johnny and Lindsay-thanks for letting us celebrate your special day with you and your family. The reception was classy and beautiful!

Alexander's Church Buddies
There were several boys born in our ward around the same time as Alexander and they all seem to be buddies. A couple Sundays ago our kids were being a little loud during Sunday school, so we took them out to the foyer and the kids had fun playing with each other. Alexander seemed to be the "ring-leader" of the group as far as trying to get the other guys to follow him crawling down the hallways! Cute guys!
