Day 11: Great Bike Ride

Dad and I went on a 17 mile bike ride this afternoon along the Missouri river. The views were so breathtaking and the stillness of a hot Missouri afternoon was peaceful. Everything is so green and the forests are so gnarly and thick with trees, vines, and flowers. I love all the vineyards and southern farm houses accompanied with vibrant southern hospitality.

Day 10: Paints and Toys

Some days I am not very creative as to the activities to do with the kids, so we go to Walmart and look at toys. We did that today after painting, playing out in the rain and riding bikes outside. We looked and played with toys for about an hour and a half, during which there was an AWESOME thunderstorm outside that shook the earth!

I had the chance to go to the temple this evening. I love the New Testiment CD song about the temple that says, "In the refuge of the temple, I find strength beyond my own and the Spirit whispers what I long to learn." So true.
