Along with playing with play dough, doing alphabet puzzles, cooking pizzas, playing doctor, shooting Nerf guns, coloring, playing with trains, swinging outside and digging in the sandbox we played shape games. It started out with me just placing tape on the floor for the kids to follow, which turned into making different shapes that made kind of a hop-scotch game. We had been doing bean-bag toss into the laundry basket earlier, so I just threw a bean bag into a shape and they would have to hop from shape to shape until they reach the bean bag. We said each shapes name.
Then we took the bucket blocks with different shapes and matched them up with what was on the floor. It ended up being a GREAT activity for the kids. We play for about an hour and a half. I love it when the creative juices flow in my brain!
