Colorado 4th and Anniversary

Well I didn't make it out to St. Louis yet with the boys. We spent three days at the airport trying to get out on standby tickets with no success. Alexander picked up the flu which spread to the rest of the family, so it was a good thing that we ended up staying home for the two weeks. Our anniversary on the 2ND consisted of running Alexander to several doctors, cleaning up vomit, changing diarrhea diapers, and packing for our quick trip to Southern Colorado to visit Great Grandpa for the 4Th of July. Thankfully Alexander was healthy the whole trip and we had a lot of fun spending time with Great Grandpa and the Perkins family! We had tin foil dinners in the back yard, picnic in the mountains, went 4 wheeling, church breakfast at the park, and watched fireworks in Rico for the 4Th. Could it get any better than this?!

Great Grandpa Johnson and the boys. If you ever want to hear a good adventure story, or know of where there is buried treasure, or meet true Indians that still live up on the plateaus,or look for arrowheads, talk to my grandpa. He can keep you entertained and get your imagination going for hours!

Aunt Gail,Grandpa, Gordon, William, Jacklyn, Alexander, Kathryn, and Uncle Kim on the 4th. Waiting to watch fireworks in Rico.

Gordon and William right before the fireworks. Handsome!

Alexander LOVED 4 Wheeling. He cried when we finally had to pull him off so we could get some lunch.

Jacklyn my cousin and Alexander. He loved following her around and holding her hand the two days we spent together. It was cute!

We stopped at the Hole in the Rock on the way down to Colorado. We did not take the tour of the home but walked around outside and looked at the fun set-up. Here are pictures of a couple neat sculptures they had.
