Home School Activities

Yesterday for an activity we went to watch the testing of the worlds largest rocket engine. It was short, but awesome to hear the boomming sound, fire and all the smoke. The boys were pretty excited about it too. :o)

We are lucky enough to have Chase come to our house everyday for school and to play. When we arrived to watch the "test" we ran into more cousins. What a great morning!

After watching the rocket engine test we drove out to the Golden Spike museum. There we saw a real steam engine train. Oh, the boys were in heaven!

The museum and location commemorates the completion of the first Transcontinental Railroad where the Central Pacific Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad met on May 10, 1869. The final joining of the rails spanning the continent was signified by the driving of the ceremonial Golden Spike.
