We are staying endlessly busy here at the Titus farm. Since moving to this home and Gordon loosing his job, we seriously stay up till about 10 in the evening or later working on projects just to be back at it around 8 the next day. It has been good for our souls. We are blessed by work.
One of the biggest projects we've been working on is the green-house which in now in the framing stage to close up the ends. We want to put in a watering system by first snow fall as well, lay weed barrier material and plant some cold weather produce, such as lettuce, to harvest year round.
The second project is the chicken coop. Gordon designed and created this lovely structure for our 12 chickens. Gordon is still finishing some details so the portable coop is still under the car port with the chickens inside. I can already tell that the chickens are much happier of the space...and that they particularly love being out side. Hopefully by Monday night we can have it completely done and moved over to the garden so the chicken can free roam during the day to eat all the BILLIONS of baby grasshoppers that have almost completely destroyed our garden. The potatoes are toast!
Bummer. But this year has been a learning year for us. More of just trying to get established verses being in full garden production mode. We wanted to be 100% organic, but it looks like we'll need to spray for weeds and grasshoppers this next year. That or have several hundred chickens roaming the half acre garden. Who knows, maybe we'll take on that challenge. Shoot, a guy up the way sells his free roaming organic chicken for almost 4 dollars a pound. Now that is some good money along with selling the eggs. The Good Earth organic food store wanted almost 15 dollars a pound....so raising our own sounds best. Anyways, enjoy the pictures. 
Gordon came home with these cheerful flowers one day this last week. :o) How did he know I needed that after hauling sewage from the basement shower from doing laundry? Ha ha..Someday we'll get our septic fixed.

Love ur blog, so cute. I forgot u took that picture of the boys in the pool, it looks so cute. Looks like u guys r getting a lot done, can't wait til we can come up. LoL :)
This looks like a case of hard work and more hard work; then standing back and seeing what you are really building....strong happy boys, a home that reflects pride in ownership and a sense of accomplishment. Good for you!
